![]() ![]() I loved the Sister Octavia quest line and how she put that priest in his place rather nicely at the end of her run. Act 1 Altars of Lilith reward 12 of each stat total (having collected them all and making a new character and not moving from the cave it shows 12 as coming from items even though there are no boost from items at that time.) The side quests have actually been pretty fun as well with a bit of story to them occasionally. The Altars of Lilith are a nice way to praise Lilith and receive a small amount of stats for them. I think that it's nice to have something that encourages exploration - especially since there are a lot of events for Obols to gamble with, and the traps that occur from monsters all over the place. The renown system I think is a pretty interesting add. I feel like the layouts are a bit meh for their procedurally generated layouts but that's part of the dungeon fix I expect to see. ![]() Occasionally I would fight a big goatman that was an easy kill and sometimes I'd fight one that was very terrifying. The dungeon bosses though they may sometimes share a skin seem to vary in power which was a bit confusing. I don't expect this fix to be done prior to launch but maybe within a year or so we could be fortunate enough for it to happen. I do understand that this is annoying and tedious, BUT I feel like it's a minor complaint overall and can be fixed with time. This one is a rather hot topic with a lot of people complaining (rightly so I might add) that the dungeons feel a bit tedious with the back tracking and finding keys to put into boxes. To state once more - I feel like this will improve greatly probably after around the level 50 mark based solely off of my guesstimate. Unless you roll 2-3 affixes that compliment your skill, the green go up strategy is king, and even then within a few levels the green go up will likely overshadow those affixes fairly quickly again. My only real complaint is that none of the stats really matter that much in the early game. I think that the affixes that do exist with + to skills (seems to be a nearly 8-10% buff for most skills per +1) makes it much more interesting to build around skills and will likely be useful for trading later on in the game as well. I don't expect Diablo to ever truly reach PoE levels of itemization and I'm honestly not understanding why people make the comparison so often. I don't really think this is a bad thing for the first half or so of the game. The affixes as a whole are a bit uninteresting in the beginning and in most cases for the first 25 levels are over shadowed by "green go up" strategies. Yes yes, I am a PoE andy and the complexity over there makes me happy in the pants but I also love the Diablo series as a whole and have a lot of more casual friends that I enjoy playing with when the PoE league dies down. I don't hate the itemization but I don't love it either (likely due to maxing out at 25 and not having access to a lot of uniques that could drop as of yet). ( IcyVeinz has a map out now that shows which dungeons give what aspect for Act 1) If you are playing a specific class, you can target based on what you want for your character as you're leveling. This I have no actual complaints about and actually like this as a system. The Codex of Power accumulates as you complete more dungeons that reward Legendary Aspects that can be crafted onto gear. Cheers to all and hope you had as good a weekend as I have! ![]() I do think that people are looking hard for things to hate because that seems to be the new meta of the gaming world these days but I'm overall quite content and just would like to see a few minor changes. These thoughts and opinions are my own - feel free to share them or not share them. I'll go in order of the systems that come to mind. I had the privilege of nothing to do this weekend except throw my life at the dark pixels of Diablo 4 and have completed the Act 1 campaign and side quests (most of them), Altars of Lilith, most of the available dungeons etc and have a lot of thoughts both positive and negative about the game that I figured I'd share in the event someone cares to read it. ![]()
